CSMM as real estate consultants for Germany’s Institute for Federal Real Estate in the largest office lease nationwide in 2021

Munich, 26 July 2021. The architecture and consulting firm CSMM advised Germany’s Institute for Federal Real Estate (Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben, or BImA) on the exclusive lease for the new PANDION SOUL development at the south entrance to Munich’s new Werksviertel district. Timo Brehme, Managing Partner of CSMM, which also has its offices in the Werksviertel: “We are thrilled that BImA signed the lease agreement and succeeded in finding such an ideal property for the German Patent and Trademark Office.” He continues: “Landing such a high-profile tenant for this development is also a great sign for the up-and-coming Werksviertel district.”

BImA signed a lease on behalf of the German Patent and Trademark Office for this new 45,000-square-metre complex, one of the most exciting urban development projects in Munich and the largest office lease to be signed in Germany so far this year. The up to seven-story PANDION SOUL office complex at Anzinger Strasse 29 will provide a state-of-the-art work environment for roughly 1,500 staff. The complex offers more than just office space: There is a crèche and a cafeteria on the ground floor as well as 3,000 square metres of storage space at the second basement level. As part of the modern mobility strategy, the parking garage has more than 400 spaces for bicycles with adjacent shower and changing facilities as well as 300 spaces for cars to complete the package. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2022, with completion expected mid-2024.
